Inspired by the old classic, The Oregon Trail, the Organ Trail infects that original premise with the walking dead. Before you groan at another zombie tittle, the Organ Trail has been around the net for a while and faithfully recreates the same look and feel of Oregon Trail as it was released on Apple II decades ago.
For those unfamiliar with the Oregon Trail, essentially you are a pioneer tasked with leading a party of settlers to Willamete Valler, Oregon, gathering and hunting as you make your way. Organ Trail takes the same premise and injected it with everyone’s favorite – Zombies. After escaping the infested Washington D.C. you’ll be leading a party of armored station wagons across the United States. Much of the concept from Oregon Trail has been readopted in clever ways. For example, the annoying rivers that you had to cross? They now have been replaced with zombies. And yes, you can also die of dysentery.
